Software for Hardware Celebrates Success in 2023
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Jan 19, 2024) – Software for Hardware celebrates 2023 as a year of continued success for the company with achievements surrounding software development and company acquisition.
Customers started off the new year with Software for Hardware’s new user interface. In December of 2022, the SFH technical development team overhauled the project management software’s UI to create a more modern navigation experience. Customers continued working in this updated interface without issue throughout the year.
Also continuing this year was the customers’ transition to SFH Cloud™. In July 2023, Software for Hardware announced that the SFH Server would be replaced by SFH Cloud™, the cloud-based version of its project management software, by January 1, 2026. With clients reporting better performance, quicker support, stronger security, and high satisfaction with the cloud’s remote capabilities, Software for Hardware believes the cloud as a definitive platform will drive stronger productivity for both the company and customers.
Though customers were given 2.5 years in advance to migrate to SFH Cloud™, many already moved this year. Currently 15% of SFH customers have migrated to the cloud. Software for Hardware is happy to report the continued satisfaction of the customers who migrated in 2023. The SFH team will continue assisting customers in the steps to migration in the coming years.
Software for Hardware also celebrates an award in 2023. In September, the Door Hardware Institute (DHI) awarded SFH the 2nd place Robert G. Ryan Editorial Award for Business Articles. This award recognizes the article “Distributors Overcoming Challenges to Seize New Opportunities”, written by former SFH co-Owner Ian Oxman for the June/July 2022 issue of DHI Door Security + Safety magazine.
In October, Software for Hardware officially announced its acquisition by Univerus. After years of consistent growth in its client base and technology under Lisa and Ian Oxman’s leadership, this was intended to launch the company into a new era of growth and success.
The SFH team has transitioned to Univerus’ management with ease as Univerus has provided tools, resources, and leadership for future advancements. Software for Hardware believes customers have much to look forward to in 2024.
“I’m very optimistic about partnering with Univerus,” comments Anna Litofsky, Marketing Coordinator of Software for Hardware. “We have some exciting new projects in the works thanks to their expertise and resources. And everyone on the team has been wonderful to work with.”
At the same time, the acquisition of Software for Hardware did not impact the progress of ongoing projects. Throughout the transition with Univerus, the SFH team was able to finish and release its 15.2 Dashboard – a brand-new feature of the project management software.
The dashboard allows SFH users to view real-time business data, see issues that require prompt attention, and identify opportunities for progress. With 10 data tiles to swap in and out, users can customize their dashboard to display data relevant to them. Software for Hardware will listen closely to customer feedback so that they may add more helpful data tiles down the road.
With another year of success behind it, and a promising future of growth to come, Software for Hardware is excited to continue offering and upgrading its project management solutions for door, frame, and hardware distributors throughout 2024 and beyond.
