Today we give a warm welcome to David Trejo, Software for Hardware’s new Sales Representative! Get to know David’s interests and background in the door, frame, and hardware industry with this Staff Spotlight.
Question: How did you enter the door, frame, hardware industry?
David: I was working as a Project Manager on a job for a large company that specialized in millwork and specialties when I ran into a friend of the family on site. He was working for a Division 8 distributor and told me everything he enjoyed about the industry and that I should consider looking into a change. I was skeptical at first, but I took his advice and reached out to his company.
They were looking for Project Managers within the Division 8 industry, and they took a chance on me since I already had several years of project manager experience. I leveraged my experience and jumped right into running projects while learning everything I could about the door, frame, and hardware industry. It’s been both a challenging and rewarding industry to work in, and I haven’t looked back.
Question: What are you looking forward to at Software for Hardware?
David: I’m looking forward to offering companies a great software to make their ability to manage projects and material much easier. I understand the time and work that goes into successfully running a project, and I’m excited to offer a great product that helps with that. I love networking and meeting new people, so I’m also excited about the opportunity to meet all the different customers throughout the country in the same industry.
Question: What is a hobby of yours?
David: My biggest hobby is riding sport bikes and motorcycle racing. My current bike is a CBR1000RR, and I have been riding for 19 years. Nothing beats the feeling of a peaceful ride through the twists and turns of the Texas hill country. I’m an avid follower of MotoGP and attend the race every year when it comes to the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX.
