Software for Hardware 2024 Year in Review
(Jan 8, 2025) Software for Hardware celebrates exciting successes and continued growth in 2024 as its first full year under Univerus.
Univerus, a company providing a platform for growth by uniting best-of-breed software solutions, added Software for Hardware to its suite in October of 2023. Since transitioning its leadership from Ian and Lisa Oxman to Univerus, Software for Hardware has continued to grow as well as gain new opportunities.
One of those opportunities was collaborating with Blue Ocean Systems, a fellow Univerus company, to integrate SAP Business One with Software for Hardware. SAP Business One is Blue Ocean Systems’ bestselling ERP solution. With it, the team is excited to bring advanced solutions like improved cost control, real-time reporting, and more to Software for Hardware in the new year.
Software for Hardware also executed projects begun in 2023, starting off the year with the release of the new 15.2 management dashboard. The SFH technical development team designed this dashboard to help users oversee and analyze their important data and become more productive and proactive. With 10 customizable tiles, users can see a variety of real-time data to make strategic business decisions.
In addition to the dashboard, Software for Hardware had customer needs in mind when it rolled out v15.3 of its project management software. This update implemented a list of user-requested enhancements designed to improve ease-of-use.
This year, Software for Hardware also released several free whitepapers that researched topics and tips for businesses in the door and hardware industry. “2024 Industry Outlook: New Business Trends for Door, Frame, and Hardware Distributors” identified emerging trends and strategies for door distributors in 2024 based on interviews with SFH staff and customers.
Joining the “5 Keys to Success” whitepaper series were the papers “5 Keys to Training Success”, which explored effective strategies for training new employees in the industry, and “5 Keys to Social Media Success”, which discussed the benefits of creating a custom social media plan for your business.
Additionally, these research papers were all featured as articles in DHI (Door Hardware Institute) Door Security and Safety Magazine, a well-known publication for industry professionals.
Software for Hardware ended the year on a high note by exhibiting a booth at DHI conNextions 2024. The conference and exhibition saw door professionals across the country meeting to attend education sessions and explore the tradeshow. The SFH team had a great time introducing their project management software to new faces and connecting with longtime customers.
